Biography

Noora Neittaanmäki is an Associate Professor and a dual-certified specialist in Dermatology and Pathology at the University of Gothenburg. She has extensive expertise in translational skin cancer research. Noora earned her PhD from the University of Helsinki in 2015 and subsequently relocated to Sweden to pursue postdoctoral research at the University of Gothenburg. In 2021, she was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg as well as at the University of Helsinki. She leads a multidisciplinary research program that focuses on the intersection of dermatology, computational pathology, and advanced imaging. Her research group develops novel AI-driven tools and cutting-edge imaging modalities aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy, early detection, and personalized treatment strategies for skin cancer patients. In addition to leading her research group, Noora serves as a Senior Consultant in dermatopathology at the Department of Pathology, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Institute of Biomedicine at the University of Gothenburg.
