Biography

Norbert Schwarz is a Provost Professor of Psychology and Marketing at the USC Marshall School of Business. His research focuses on consumer judgment and decision-making, exploring subtle contextual influences that shape how individuals perceive the world and the downstream consequences of these perceptions for consumer behavior, health behavior, and political preferences. Schwarz has been elected to prestigious organizations such as the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the German National Academy of Science, and Academia Europaea. Before joining USC, he was the Charles Horton Cooley Collegiate Professor of Psychology, Business, and Social Research at the University of Michigan.
