Noriko Daneshtalab is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the School of Pharmacy, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. in Pharmacology in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2005. She completed postdoctoral fellowships at the John P. Her current research interests include mechanisms of cerebrovascular dysfunction associated with chronic inflammation, particularly in autoimmune diseases, and their relation to stroke development. She explores the roles of pro-inflammatory mediators in cardiovascular disease, examining PK/PD alterations in immuno-modulatory drugs. Daneshtalab also teaches Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, and her current projects involve developing an animal model for hypertensive arthritis and studying molecular signaling associated with cerebrovascular dysfunction. She has contributed to selected publications in Bioactive Compatible Polymers and other journals.
