Dr. Nowrozy Jahan

Biography

Nowrozy Kamar Jahan is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University Malaysia, specifically within the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Her academic focus embraces global public health, where she applies innovative multi-disciplinary teaching strategies to enhance student engagement within the curriculum, particularly in public health and clinical anatomy in rural medicine. With a robust research profile, she collaborates with leading researchers to conduct impactful studies centered on population health, reproductive health, as well as communicable and non-communicable diseases, with a special emphasis on adolescent and maternal health. Her research interests align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reflecting a commitment to education and global health advancements. Dr. Jahan earned a PhD in Population Health from Mahidol University and has held various significant roles such as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Malaya and team leader for maternal health programs in Bangladesh. With a strong foundation in Medicine (MBBS) from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and numerous projects under her belt focusing on health effects and climate change adaptation, Dr. Jahan stands out as a dedicated scholar advancing the field of public health.
