Nucelio Lemos is a Professor and Clinician Investigator in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto. He specializes in Urogynaecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), having undergone medical graduation and a Gynecology Residency with dedicated training in Urogynecology. Dr. Lemos completed his PhD in Gynecology in São Paulo, Brazil, and furthered his expertise with a fellowship in Neuropelveology in Zurich, Switzerland. He has chaired the Scientific Committee of the International Continence Society from 2013 to 2016 and was a founding member and past chairman of the Scientific Education Committee of the Latin American Pelvic Floor Association from 2014 to 2019. Currently, he serves as the President of the International Society of Neuropelveology (ISoN). His research focuses on various areas of Neuropelveology, including the treatment of Intrapelvic Nerve Entrapments and Neuropathic Pain, as well as knowledge transfer regarding Nerve-Sparing Radical Pelvic Procedures. Dr. Lemos has established himself as a national reference in Canada for complex Urogynecologic surgeries, providing care for complicated endometriosis cases and other pelvic floor dysfunctions, utilizing innovative laparoscopic techniques.
