Nur Hazliza obtained her PhD in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2019. She worked as a full-time research assistant during her PhD candidacy, where her research focused on methods to determine the direction of true north using Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). Her project won the Islamic Innovation Challenge in 2019, organized by the Innovation Agency Malaysia, and she was awarded a gold medal at the 2017 International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning. Additionally, her patented project was nominated for a final rating in the patent category at the 2017 National Intellectual Property Awards and the 2018 Malaysia Commercial Year. Nur holds an MSc in Microelectronics from UKM (2015) and a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Technology from UniKL British Malaysian Institute (2008). With over ten years of teaching experience, she previously worked at UCSI University from 2008 to 2015 as Head Tutor and Diploma Coordinator and was a part-time lecturer at Segi University from 2017 to 2018. Currently, she is a lecturer in the Department of Common Engineering at Monash University Malaysia, with research interests in IoT, embedded systems, control systems, robotic design, and digital signal processing.
