Dr. Nur Syazwani

Biography

Nur Syazwani Mazlan joined the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University Malaysia in July 2024. Prior to this, she worked in the School of Business and Economics at Universiti Putra Malaysia for nine years from 2015. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, Statistics, and Financial Economics from Queen Mary, University of London (2008), an MSc in Finance from Imperial College Business School London (2010), and a Ph.D. from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom (2015). Her research interests include Applied Econometrics, Big Data, Sentiment Analysis, and International Economics. She has produced numerous papers in academic journals and has authored a copyrighted teaching module titled 'Econometric Modelling Using Stata.' Dr. Syazwani has completed research projects worth RM 1 million in various multidisciplinary areas and has served as a consultant for multiple national and international agencies. She has been actively involved in numerous faculty and university committees and has served as Managing Editor and Associate Editor for the International Journal of Economics and Management. She has received several awards for her excellent service and contributions to the industry and community.
