Biography

Nuria Llombart is a full professor at Delft University of Technology specializing in Terahertz (THz) sensing. She received her Master's degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain in 2002 and her Ph.D. in 2006. During her studies, she spent a year at Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen Nuremberg and worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits in Germany. She has held research positions at TNO Defense, Security and Safety Institute in the Netherlands, and has been a postdoctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology. She has authored and co-authored more than 200 journal articles and conference contributions in the fields of antennas and THz systems, contributing significantly to areas such as THz planar antennas, periodic structures, and waveguide systems. She has received several awards, including the H. Wheeler Award from IEEE and the European Research Council Starting Grant. She serves on the board of the IRMMW-THz International Society and is an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation.
