Biography

Nynke Kramer is an Associate Professor of Toxicology at Wageningen University Research. Her research focuses on developing techniques and models to improve the extrapolation of effect concentrations obtained from in vitro cell assays to toxic doses relevant for humans and animals. She joined Wageningen University in 2021, after serving as an Assistant Professor of Toxicology at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences at Utrecht University. Nynke obtained her PhD in 2010 and has received the SETAC Procter & Gamble Fellowship for her doctoral research in Environmental Sciences. She has utilized the prize money to support part of her research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, Eawag, in Dübendorf, Switzerland. Nynke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from University College Utrecht and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Change Management from the University of Oxford.
