Dr. Oana Popa Costea

Biography

Oana Popa-Costea is a full professor at the Technische Universität Berlin, specializing in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. Her research focuses on classical issues in soil mechanics, including soil physical properties, soil mechanical properties, soil statics, and soil dynamics. She has substantial experience in numerical simulation of soil behavior, contributing significantly to the understanding of complex geotechnical problems. Oana also provides supplemental courses in relevant fields such as tunneling and earthquake engineering, which adds to the department's ability to deliver a broad spectrum of knowledge.
