Dr. Obianuju Okocha

Biography

Obianuju Okocha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. She has a rich educational background, having earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Colorado in 1999 and 2004, respectively. Following her education, she undertook rigorous postgraduate training, including an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado. She completed her fellowship in Neuroanesthesiology in 2009. Dr. Okocha is board-certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Society for Perioperative Assessment and Quality Improvement, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Okocha is actively engaged in advancing the field of anesthesiology and improving patient care, collaborating with various pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies to foster scientific breakthroughs.
