Biography

Obiora Ezike joined the School of Law as a Lecturer in Commercial Law in January 2022. He previously held a Lectureship in Law at Coventry University. He obtained his LLB from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and achieved an LLM in Corporate Financial Law with distinction as the overall top student. Obiora completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow, supported by a College of Social Sciences Scholarship, where his research examined the Financial Collateral Arrangement Directive from a comparative perspective. He is a licensed Barrister and Solicitor in both Nigeria and South Africa, with practiced areas in commercial and insolvency law. Obiora is a member of the Society of Legal Scholars and the Corporate Financial Law Research Group within the School of Law, as well as the Commercial Law Research Network in Nigeria and the Nigerian Bar Association.
