Biography

Octria Prasojo obtained her undergraduate degree in Geology from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and her master's in Geoscience from l'Institut Français du Pétrole, France. She completed her PhD at the University of Glasgow in Physical Geography and Earth Sciences, while being affiliated with Universitas Indonesia. In 2019, Octria commenced her PhD at the University of Glasgow, collaborating with Prof. Trevor Hoey, Dr. Amanda Owen, and Prof. Richard Williams on building scaling relationships in global river deltas. Currently, she is a postdoctoral research associate (PDRA) working on the GALLANT project, a NERC-funded partnership between the University of Glasgow and Glasgow City Council aimed at using Glasgow as a living lab to test new sustainable solutions throughout the city. She leads Work Package 1, which addresses fluvial and tidal flood risk by employing a participatory modeling approach with nature-based solutions for the River Clyde. Her research interests revolve around understanding the fundamental processes in fluvial deltaic environments, including decoding climatic signals, the impacts of autogenic and allogenic processes, and the tectonic influences on geomorphic landforms related to deposits in fluvial, delta, estuary, and coastal systems.
