Oded Ghitza received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, in 1975, 1977, and 1983, respectively. Ghitza’s research includes studying the role of brain rhythms in speech perception and has contributed significantly to hearing-aid technology. Since December 2010, he has been a Research Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He has also served as a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt, Germany, and as a visiting professor at the Poeppel Lab at the Ernst Strüngmann Institute.
