Oded Haklai has been teaching at Queen's University since 2004. He is the author of "Palestinian Ethnonationalism in Israel" (2011), awarded the Shapiro Award by the Association for Israel Studies. In addition, he has published three co-edited volumes on the impact of democratization on ethnic minorities, the politics of settlers in contested lands, and Jewish-Israeli-Palestinian relations, along with 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Haklai has received prestigious research grants and held visiting fellowships at institutions such as the Truman Institute at Hebrew University and the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University. In 2015, he became the founding Director of the Laboratory for Ethnic Conflict Research at Queen's. His research interests include population settlements and territorial conflicts, political mobilization among ethnic minorities, and Israeli politics. He actively supervises graduate students in these areas and contributes to undergraduate and graduate courses in Political Studies.
