Dr. Oded Nov

Biography

Oded Nov is a Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering specializing in technology management and human-computer interaction. He is the Department Chair of Technology Management and has an extensive background in digital health and AI interaction with human systems. Nov has received numerous awards for his contributions to research in these fields, including the NYU Tandon Excellence Research Award and several grants from the National Science Foundation. He has been involved in significant research projects that leverage AI and remote monitoring technologies to improve healthcare outcomes, particularly for vulnerable populations. His work combines empirical research with theoretical insights, aiming to bridge the gap between technology and user experience. He is also an advocate for the role of citizen science in technology-driven healthcare solutions, striving for practical applications of research that can enhance quality of life. Nov holds a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from Tel Aviv University, underscoring his strong academic foundation in the social sciences.
