Dr. Odysseus Stone

Biography

Odysseus Stone is a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen, where he is affiliated with the Center for Subjectivity Research. He holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Bristol and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen. His current research explores the intersections between phenomenology and mindfulness meditation, focusing on how contemporary Buddhist scholarship can expand understanding within mindfulness practices. Stone's work examines the proliferation of mindfulness in secular contexts such as neuroscience, corporate environments, and education, and considers its therapeutic implications across various clinical settings. He engages in phenomenological investigations into key aspects of mindfulness, including temporality, attention, and self-awareness, aiming to shed light on its potential benefits within healthy clinical populations.
