Biography

Licensed psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in family therapy. Since 1989, Ole Hultmann has worked as a clinical psychologist with child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), focusing on psychological assessment and psychodynamic family therapy. In January 2019, he became a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg and continues his research at CAMHS. He teaches primarily in the field of child and adolescent clinical psychology. Hultmann's research interests include a lifespan perspective on clinical psychology and the development of coordinated intervention systems for violence in close relationships. His current projects involve psychotherapy research at CAMHS and the iRiSk model, which assesses risks for children subjected to intimate partner violence and child abuse. This model has been recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare as a recommended method. Hultmann is also involved in the Sivin-Child research program, focusing on the detection, investigation, and support of children affected by violence within familial contexts, funded by the Swedish Research Council.
