Biography

Oleg Glebov joined the Department of Old Age Psychiatry at King's College London in 2018, bringing expertise in advanced light microscopy and the study of synaptic dysregulation in human neurodegenerative disorders. He is currently a Lecturer and has previously worked as a Research Associate at the Wolfson Centre for Age-Related Diseases and the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, where he focused on the structure and function of neuronal synapses. Before his tenure at King's College London, he served as a Research Assistant at the MRC Centre for Synaptic Plasticity in Bristol. Glebov holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has been recognized with several fellowships, including the London Law Trust Fellowship and the Beit Memorial Fellowship in Medical Research, as well as a Junior Research Fellowship at Trinity College, Cambridge. His current research interests include synaptic structure and function, aging, neurodegeneration, and the mechanisms of synaptic plasticity, utilizing advanced light microscopy techniques.
