Oleg Tretiakov is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales in the School of Physics, where he leads the Topological Spintronics Quantum Materials research group. His research interests focus on skyrmions, topological solitons in magnetic systems, spin-orbit torques, and topological antiferromagnetic spintronics. He has explored non-collinear antiferromagnets, topological thermoelectrics, and strongly correlated low-dimensional systems with spin-orbit interactions. Tretiakov joined UNSW as a Senior Lecturer in 2019, bringing a wealth of experience from his prior role as an Assistant Professor at Tohoku University in Japan starting in 2012. He obtained his PhD in Physics from Duke University in the USA in 2005, followed by postdoctoral fellowships at Johns Hopkins University, New York University, and Texas A&M University. He has delivered over 200 invited presentations at conferences and universities worldwide, establishing himself as a prominent figure in his field.
