Biography

Oli completed a PhD in Sociology at the University of Leicester and was awarded the NIHR CLAHRC West Dan Hill Fellowship in Health Equity at the University of Bath. He later returned to the University of Leicester within the Department of Health Sciences, working with the SAPPHIRE Group. In 2019, he joined King’s College London as a Lecturer focusing on co-designing healthcare interventions through methodologies in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care. His research integrates social inequality, public health, and everyday life, emphasizing health inequalities, promoting healthy lifestyles, obesity, weight stigma, and equitable interventions through participatory methods. As a co-founder of the art collective Act Love (AWL), he promotes social change through initiatives like 'The Weight Expectation' comic, recognized by the British Science Association, which invited him to present at the Margaret Mead Award Lecture. Oli is also active in various podcasts and webinars to discuss his work and research interests, including PhD supervision in related fields.
