Biography

Dr. Oliver Blanchard received his Medical Degree in 2011 from McGill University and completed his Neurology Residency in 2016. He pursued a Clinical Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at the Montreal Neurological Hospital and began his academic career in 2017 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at Université de Montréal's Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. In January 2022, Dr. Blanchard transitioned to the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, where he is based at the Montreal Neurological Hospital. His clinical research interests primarily focus on inflammatory myopathies, muscular dystrophies, muscle biopsies and pathology, as well as Myasthenia gravis and Single Fiber Electromyography (SFEMG).
