Biography

Oliver de Groot joined the University of Southampton in 2025 as a Professor of Economics. He has previously held prominent positions, including Head of Economics at the University of Liverpool Management School from 2019 to 2025 and Principal Economist in the Monetary Analysis Division of the European Central Bank from 2017 to 2019.
