Dr. Oliver Keenan

Biography

Oliver Keenan is currently the Academic Dean at Cuddesdon and a Lecturer in Christian Doctrine at Ripon College Cuddesdon. He has been involved in teaching and supervision across a range of topics within Christian doctrine and philosophical theology for over a decade. As a former Director of the Aquinas Institute at Blackfriars Hall, he emphasizes systematic theology, focusing particularly on Christology and the metaphysics of Jesus's humanity. Oliver's research interests lie in the intersections of systematic theology, theological method, the Catholic receptions of Karl Barth, and theological epistemology. He is also the Principal Investigator for the project 'Truth, Aquinas Theological Turn Continental Philosophy' as part of the Widening Horizons Philosophical Theological programme, which runs from 2021 to 2023. In addition to his teaching and research, he serves as a member of the Editorial Board for New Blackfriars and has published notable works including 'Divine Antecedence Pretemporal Election' and 'Theological Epistemology Eckhart’s Parisian Question'.
