Dr. Oliver Klein

Biography

Oliver Klein is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Tübingen since 2023. He has served as a judge at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe since 2016 and was appointed as a judge at the Higher Regional Court in Karlsruhe in 2014. His extensive experience includes a term at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin from 2011 to 2013, and he has been an examiner for the First State Examination in Law in Freiburg since 2007. Klein has also worked at the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe from 2005 to 2008, and held various judicial positions within the ordinary courts of Baden-Württemberg from 2002 to 2016, including prosecutor and judge. He obtained his doctorate (Dr. iur.) from the University of Freiburg in 2002, supervised by Andreas Voßkuhle. His legal education involved studies at the universities of Würzburg, Glasgow, and Freiburg, following his Abitur in Mainz in 1993. Klein's notable publications include analyses of constitutional law and the interplay of legal rights, demonstrating significant contributions to the field of legal scholarship.
