Dr. Oliver Wisco

Biography

Oliver Wisco is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Brown University, where he serves as a Clinician Educator and Director of the Cutaneous Oncology Program. His expertise includes dermatology, micrographic surgery, and dermatologic oncology, for which he is board-certified. Dr. Wisco completed his medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has extensive postgraduate training in dermatology and melanoma clinical research, including fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Harvard Medical School. With over 27 years of military service in the Air Force, Dr. Wisco has also held faculty positions at several prestigious institutions including Emory University and Tulane University. His research focuses on healthcare performance improvement and data-driven strategies to enhance quality in dermatology. He is actively engaged in initiatives that address the social and geospatial factors influencing skin cancer treatment and access to care. Dr. Wisco is a prolific speaker and educator, conducting lectures on dermatologic oncology and serving as a course director for independent research projects at Brown University.
