Biography

Olivia Kim Mcmanus is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego. She is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist at Rady Children's Hospital with board certifications in Neurology and Child Neurology. She completed her B.A. in Neurosciences at Columbia University and earned her M.D. from George Washington University. Dr. Mcmanus completed her clinical training in pediatric neurology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and additional fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at UC Irvine. Her primary research interests are in pediatric epilepsy, including genetics and surgical interventions. She is involved in several clinical trials for the treatment of pediatric epilepsy and serves as the principal investigator for a study on individualized antisense oligonucleotide therapies. Dr. Mcmanus leads the Pediatric Epilepsy Fellowship Program at UC San Diego and is a member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Epilepsy Foundation San Diego.
