Biography

Olivia Urquhart is an Instructor at Penn Dental Medicine, joining the institution in September 2022. She has served as the lead data analyst and clinical practice guideline methodologist in the Department of Evidence Synthesis and Translation Research at the American Dental Association’s Science & Research Institute. During her tenure at ADA, she authored systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines focused on oral cancer diagnosis, caries management, acute pain management, and antibiotics for pulpitis, as well as dental interventions prior to radiation for head and neck cancer. Olivia earned her Master of Public Health with a specialization in epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in 2016, where she was also a member of the birth defects surveillance research team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities.
