Biography

Graduated in Greek, Latin, and Ancient History from Fribourg University in 1987, Olivier Curty completed his doctoral thesis on epigraphy and legendary similarities of cities. He took classes from Philippe Gauthier and published a book in 2015 with De Boccard French editions on Hellenistic gymnasia from the 4th to 1st century BC. Currently, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Ancient History at Fribourg University. Olivier has undergone major brain surgery and now faces challenges such as dysarthria, which affects his speech.
