Biography

Olivier Delas is a full professor of international and European law at Laval University’s Faculty of Law, where he holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Integration. He directs the Europe Circle at the Graduate School of International Studies and is responsible for the Laval-Bordeaux Platform on Transnational, International, and European Studies (LaBoÉTIE). He has been instrumental in organizing workshops and summer schools focused on the European Union, aiming to enhance training and expertise related to European construction. His research interests include European integration law, international humanitarian law, and the rights of individuals under European and international law. Delas also engages in media discussions surrounding these subjects and practices law in Montreal as a member of the Quebec Bar.
