Dr. Olivier Salazar Ferrer

Biography

Olivier Salazar-Ferrer is a Senior Lecturer in French at the University of Glasgow. His research primarily focuses on twentieth-century French literature and the interaction between literary writing, philosophy, and the visual arts, with a particular emphasis on European avant-garde movements. He is the author of several works including 'Benjamin Fondane' and 'Benjamin Fondane et la révolte existentielle', both dedicated to the life and work of the avant-garde poet and philosopher Benjamin Fondane. His published articles and book chapters cover a range of French authors who lie at the crossroads of philosophy and literature. Salazar-Ferrer has also co-edited a volume on Fondane's cinema writings and curated an exhibition on exile writers in Paris during the interwar period. His ongoing projects include working on interviews with French philosopher Michel Henry and several future exhibitions.
