Biography

Olli Kampman is a Professor of Psychiatry and a senior consultant at Umeå University, with over 30 years of experience as a clinical psychiatrist and active scientist. He began his role at Umeå University in the autumn of 2022 after serving as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Turku and Vaasa Central Hospital. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed international scientific publications, focusing on key topics within psychiatry. These include pharmacogenetics, inflammatory processes in psychiatric disorders, compliance, and treatment adherence, as well as dual diagnosis psychoses. He is a qualified supervisor for PhD students, having guided several students to complete their PhD theses. Professor Kampman's teaching covers psychoses diagnostics and treatment within the Medicine licentiate program and addresses substance-related disorders in the Logopaedics program.
