Dr. Olov Isaksson

Biography

Olov Isaksson is a Full Professor in Business Administration with a specialization in Operations Management at Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University. His primary research focuses on operations management at the intersection of retail, healthcare, and innovation management. He has a special interest in data analytics, utilizing empirical approaches to investigate how firms make operational decisions. Olov earned his PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and holds a Diplôme d’Ingénieur in General Engineering from École Centrale Paris, as well as a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering Management from Linköping University. Throughout his academic career, he has worked in industry roles related to operations and supply chain management in the retail and process industries. His research has been published in international academic journals, including Management Science, Research Policy, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and Production Planning & Control. Olov has collaborated with major organizations such as H&M, Louis Vuitton, Henkel, and Migros, as well as Region Stockholm. At Stockholm Business School, he is the director of the Master's program in Operations Management and Control, and he teaches courses like Advanced Operations Management and Business Analytics: Data, Models, Decisions.
