Biography

Olwen Westerland is a consultant diagnostic radiologist at Guy’s St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust with special interests in gynecology oncology imaging and myeloma imaging. In addition to her clinical work, she is pursuing a part-time imaging sciences MD at King’s College London, focusing on advanced imaging techniques for myeloma. Her research project aims to evaluate the diagnostic value of whole body 18-F FDG PET/MRI for myeloma staging and treatment response assessment, known as the REVAMP study. This project is part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) portfolio and is funded by the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) Kodak Radiology Fund Scholarship. Olwen is also passionate about medical education and serves as a clinical educational supervisor, regularly teaching at local and regional levels, and is a panel member for the RCR specialty examinations.
