Biography

Om Narasimhan is a professor specializing in marketing at the London School of Economics (LSE). His research focuses on entrepreneurship in emerging markets, innovation, pricing strategies, and distribution channels. Narasimhan earned his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining LSE in 2012, he served as the Board of Overseers Chaired Professor of Marketing at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He has published articles in leading journals such as Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Marketing. His contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple awards, including the SIG Paper awards from the American Marketing Association and a nomination for the John D. Award for his paper in Marketing Science. He was also named a Marketing Science Institute Young Scholar and received the Outstanding Researcher of the Year award, as well as the Elective MBA Professor of the Year award while at the Carlson School of Management. At LSE, he teaches courses on entrepreneurship, innovation, pricing, and marketing strategy to executives from major companies, including 3M, Target, Hormel Foods, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Currently, he teaches in both the Masters in Management and Global Executive Masters in Management programs at LSE.
