Omar M. Ramahi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He was born in Jerusalem, Palestine, and received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Computer Engineering from Oregon State University in 1990. Dr. Ramahi has authored and co-authored over 600 journal and conference papers related to electromagnetic phenomena and computational techniques. He has also co-authored the book "EMI/EMC Computational Modeling Handbook." Awarded multiple honors throughout his career, Dr. Ramahi is recognized for his impactful teaching and research, and elected as an IEEE Fellow in 2008. His research interests include Biomedical Applications, Electromagnetics, Medical Imaging, Energy Harvesting, Renewable Energy, and Wireless Communications.
