Biography

Dr. Haji-Ghassemi started his position as an Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary in January 2022. His primary research focuses on understanding the molecular structures and interactions of proteins, intending to use cutting-edge methods to make groundbreaking discoveries that can transform medicine and healthcare. He has actively contributed to the field by participating in professional organizations, including the Canadian Biophysical Society and the International Biophysical Society. In July 2023, he was recognized with an early career award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
