Biography

Onur Ozturk received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology in 2012. During his doctoral studies, he worked for several years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Ivey Business School under the supervision of Gregory S. Zaric. In 2014, he joined ESIEE Paris at Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, where he served as an assistant professor until 2017. His research interests lie in large-scale optimization applied to problems in the healthcare and transportation sectors. With expertise in scheduling theory and simulation, he integrates optimization methods with simulation models. He has been involved in a European project at the Efficacity Institute to develop a decision-making tool for optimizing the transportation of goods using urban railway and public transportation in the Île-de-France region. His teaching interests include business analytics, operations management, and stochastic modeling.
