Biography

Orhan S. Ozkan is a Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, specifically within the Department of Radiology. He joined UW in 2009 and has held the position of Andrew B. Crummy Professor of Radiology. Throughout his career, he has served as the chief of the Interventional Radiology section from 2009 to 2024. Dr. Ozkan graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, in 1991 and completed his residency in Radiology at the same institution in 1996. He further pursued two fellowships in Interventional Radiology and Body Imaging at the University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating in 1998 and 1999 respectively. He has authored more than 30 publications in the field of interventional radiology and his primary research interests include portal hypertension, biliary interventions, and interventional oncology. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Ozkan enjoys photography, soccer, and table tennis.
