Dr. Orkan Telhan

Biography

Orkan Telhan is an artist, designer, and researcher whose work engages critical questions about culture, environment, and social responsibility. He is currently a Visiting Critic at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania, where he previously served as an Associate Professor in Fine Arts and Emerging Design Practices. Telhan's work has been exhibited internationally at prestigious venues such as the Venice Architecture Biennale, Istanbul Biennial, and Milan Triennale. He has also displayed his works at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, New Museum in New York, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Walker Art Center, Design Museum in London, and Museo Reina Sofía. Additionally, he is a fellow at MIT's Art, Culture, Technology program and serves as the president of the Biodesign Challenge. His practice emphasizes collaboration and embraces the intersection of art and design.
