Biography

Osama Hassan is a Teaching and Research Fellow in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. He earned a BSc in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Ain Shams University, then pursued dual MSc degrees. He specialized in Optics and Photonics at Imperial College London, where he was awarded the Gladys Locke Prize for his work in Applied Optics, and he also studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Currently, Osama is completing his doctoral research at Imperial College London, focusing on visual computing and machine learning. He has teaching experience from prestigious institutions, including Imperial College London and the American University in Cairo, as well as UCLA. In addition to his academic work, Osama has gained valuable industry experience at technology companies such as Samsung Research America and Meta (formerly Facebook Reality Labs). His research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Medical Image Analysis, Computational Imaging, and Optics.
