Biography

Oswaldo Chinchilla Mazariegos is an archaeologist specializing in the complex societies of ancient Mesoamerica. His publications include notable books such as "Art and Myth in Ancient Maya" (2017) and "Imágenes de la Mitología Maya" (2011), which provide innovative perspectives and methodological breakthroughs in the study of ancient Maya religion and art. Chinchilla has also contributed to numerous scholarly volumes and articles, with significant works focusing on the archaeology and urban studies of the region, illustrating his expertise and impact in the field.
