Dr. Owen Ware

Biography

Owen Ware holds a PhD from the University of Toronto and specializes in Kant, Post-Kantian philosophy, and German and British Romanticism. He has also made significant contributions to global philosophy, particularly classical Indian philosophy. Dr. Ware has received prestigious research fellowships from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. His scholarly work includes several authored books such as 'Fichte’s Moral Philosophy' (Oxford University Press, 2020), 'Kant’s Justification Ethics' (Oxford University Press, 2021), and 'Kant Freedom' (Cambridge University Press, 2023). He is also preparing works such as 'Indian Philosophy Yoga Germany' (Routledge, 2024) and 'Return Gods: Mythology Romantic Philosophy Literature' (Oxford University Press, 2025), as well as a new translation and critical study of Novalis’s 'Heinrich von Ofterdingen' (Cambridge University Press, 2026).
