Dr. Oz Sahin

Biography

Oz Sahin is a Senior Lecturer at UNSW Canberra within the Capability Systems Centre. He possesses specialized expertise in advanced modeling approaches for natural resource management, engineering management, public health, climate change adaptation, and risk assessment. His research interests include the sustainable built environment, ecosystem-based approaches, and integrated modeling of water, energy, and climate. Furthermore, he utilizes decision support systems that employ System Dynamics, Geographic Information System (GIS) modeling, Bayesian Network modeling, and multiple criteria decision analysis alongside operational research methods. Dr. Sahin has authored and co-authored 160 peer-reviewed publications, papers, and consultancy reports, which are widely recognized for their practical impact in both the industry and academia. He has presented his research at numerous international conferences and has collaborated with various researchers, organizations, and stakeholders to advance knowledge and innovation in the field of natural resource management modeling.
