Biography

Özge Onay is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the intersections of race, power, and inequality in her research and teaching. Onay is also involved in a leading research project exploring ecological Islamophobia and environmental racism in East London, focusing on areas such as the Abbey Mills Mosque and Poplar Shahjalal Masjid, and addressing significant health impacts of environmental hazards on marginalized communities. She was a Runner-Up for the Early Career Excellence Award in 2024 and has been recognized for her contributions to student experience.
