Ozgur Sinanoglu is a Global Network Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi. He received his B.S. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering from Bogazici University, Turkey in 1999. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2001 and 2004, respectively. Sinanoglu has industry experience with Texas Instruments, IBM, and Qualcomm. His research interests include design-for-test, design-for-security, and design-for-trust in VLSI circuits, with over 200 conference and journal papers as well as numerous issued and pending patents. He has received several awards, including the IEEE VLSI Test Symposium Paper Award in 2011 and the ACM Conference on Computer and Communication Security Paper Award in 2013. In 2021, he was awarded the inaugural Distinguished Faculty Research Award at NYUAD and was elected to serve at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academy of Scientists in the UAE. Sinanoglu also leads the Center for Cybersecurity Design-for-Excellence Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi and has been instrumental in securing funding for his research from various esteemed organizations, including the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense.
