Biography

Pablo G Cámara is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He holds a BS and PhD in Theoretical Physics from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, obtained in 2002 and 2006 respectively. Dr. Cámara's research focuses on the development and application of innovative computational approaches to study cellular heterogeneity and its role in disease. His lab, the Cámara Lab, combines high-throughput single-cell technologies with large-scale population studies to understand the cellular composition and cell-to-cell signaling networks of tumors. He is particularly interested in deciphering the cellular ecosystem and heterotypic signaling networks of tumors in the central nervous system in both adults and children. Through his work, he expects to provide methods that will have utility for the broader research community.
