Biography

Dr. Pablo Godoy is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal. He specializes in Veterinary Parasitology with a focus on the study of nematodes and their interactions with hosts. His research interests include the resistance to anthelmintics among parasitic nematodes and the discovery of secreted molecules that serve as markers of this resistance. His research program aims to evaluate the efficacy of dewormers and monitor the emergence of resistance among companion animals and livestock. Furthermore, he investigates the lipid profiles secreted by parasitic nematodes, examining their relevance to host interactions and their potential roles as signaling molecules. He has collaborated with veterinary partners and engages in various national and international research efforts. Dr. Godoy's educational background includes a veterinary medicine degree and advanced degrees in Parasitology from recognized institutions, alongside postdoctoral training in relevant fields.
