Dr. Pablo Ramirez

Biography

Pablo Ramirez holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and a BA from Yale University. He is an associate professor at the University of Guelph in the School of English and Theatre Studies, where he specializes in nineteenth-century American literature, Latinx studies, and creative writing. His areas of specialization include law literature, cultural production, memory studies, and the supernatural. Ramirez is actively involved in advising graduate students and often serves as a second reader for the Creative Writing MFA program. He has published numerous peer-reviewed essays in esteemed journals like Nineteenth-Century Literature, J19: Journal of Nineteenth-Century Americanists, and Aztlán: Journal of Chicano Studies, among others. His contributions to the field also include chapters in collective works. As a dedicated academic, Ramirez continues to explore themes of identity and community within his research and teaching.
