Dr. Pamela Blough

Biography

Pamela Blough is an instructor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Michigan State University, with over 20 years of experience in teaching a range of landscape architecture classes. She has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University, and is a licensed landscape architect in Michigan, South Carolina, Indiana, and West Virginia. In addition to her academic role, Blough is the owner and principal of a landscape architecture design firm with offices in Michigan and South Carolina, specializing in public and nonprofit design, community housing, and commercial projects. She is a fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and has served on several ASLA committees, including the National Board of Trustees and the Government Affairs Advisory Committee. Blough is an accomplished speaker at ASLA National Conferences, discussing topics related to business practice and emerging trends in landscape design. She is also a certified arborist and serves on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Forestry & Parks Association, where she supports scholarly research on urban forests and has co-authored the 'Michigan Tree Valuation Guide'.
